Rising People’s Party Seeks PM To Impose Prez Rule in Nagaland

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been urged by the RPP to impose President’s rule in Nagaland.

The RRP, a political organisation from Nagaland founded in 2021 claimed on Friday that the state had performed the poorest across a number of metrics.

The president of the RPP Joel Naga and the vice-president Vitho Zao claimed in a petition to Modi that 3,446 persons from all throughout the state participated in a signature drive in support of the president’s authority in Nagaland.

Nagaland has been witness to “systemic corruption, fiscal mismanagement, misgovernance, non-development and misuse of public funds”, the party said.The two party leaders claimed that ,“Nagaland has been the worst performing state under six parameters (poverty, health, affordable energy, sustainable cities, industries and infrastructure) as per the SDGI index of the NITI Aayog in 2021,”

According to the most recent CAG report, there are also “fiscal irresponsibilities,” including “fraudulent withdrawals” of thousands of crores in nearly all government ministries they claimed in the appeal.
