Roadblock in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra as West Bengal Denies Permission
Guwahati, 26th January: Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ faced a setback as the Trinamool Congress (TMC)-led government in West Bengal refused permission for the yatra to enter the Siliguri region.
On the twelfth day of the yatra, after reaching Bakshirhat in the Cooch Behar region, Rahul Gandhi unexpectedly departed for Delhi.
The yatra, aimed at uniting the country against perceived injustices by the BJP and RSS, is scheduled to resume on January 28, with Siliguri as the next destination.
Senior Additional Advocate General of Assam and BJP National Spokesperson Nalin Kohli questioned the denial of permission, suggesting that the Congress and TMC must clarify the circumstances behind this decision.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed displeasure, stating that the Congress did not inform her, emphasizing the apparent discord between the two parties.
