RRR wins the Best Foreign Language Film and Best Song Critics’ Choice Awards

Digital Desk: It’s a terrific day for Indian cinema as “RRR,” the filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus period action drama film, has won two additional accolades at the 28th edition of the Critics Choice Awards in addition to the famous Golden Globe honour.

The Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song went to “RRR,” starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, for the song “Naatu Naatu.” In a ceremony held in Los Angeles, it also won the “Critics’ Choice Award” for the Best Foreign Language Film.

The Twitter handle of Critics Choice Award shared a post, “Congratulations to the cast and crew of @RRRMovie- winners of the #criticschoice Award for Best Foreign Language Film. #CriticsChoiceAwards.”

Team ‘RRR’ took to their Twitter account and shared a video which they captioned, “Naatu Naatu Again!! Extremely delighted to share that we won the #CriticsChoiceAwards for the BEST SONG #RRRMovie Here’s @mmkeeravaani’s acceptance speech!!”

‘Naatu Naatu’ composer MM Keeravani is heard saying in the video, “Thank you so much I am very overwhelmed with this award. I am here to receive this wonderful award by the critics. Thank you all the critics, on behalf of my chorographer, lyrics writer, my singers, my programmers and ofcourse my director.”

The fictional story RRR is based on the experiences of Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two Telugu liberation warriors. Lead parts were played by Ram Charan and Jr. NTR, respectively. Over Rs 1,200 crore were made by the movie worldwide. Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Alia Bhatt also starred in the movie.

This “RRR” popular song is the ideal dance craze thanks to the lyrical composition of “Naatu Naatu” by MM Keeravani, the high-energy interpretation by the singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the original choreography by Prem Rakshith, and the lyrics by Chandrabose.
