Rs 2 Lakhs in Fake Currency Seized, One Person Detained in Guwahati
Guwahati, 27th July: Officials in Guwahati reported the seizure of around Rs 2 lakhs of Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and the subsequently held one person on Thursday.
The operation leading to the seizure was conducted in the Garchuk area of Guwahati, following specific inputs from reliable informants.
The individual taken into custody has been identified as Babul Hussain, who is alleged to have been in possession of the counterfeit currency notes.
As the police suspect the involvement of a larger network, the detained person is currently under interrogation to obtain further information and potential leads.
Authorities are actively investigating the matter, and more details are yet to be disclosed as the situation unfolds.
