RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Reaffirms Volunteers’ Commitment in Conflict-Stricken Manipur

Northeast Desk, 6th September: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat emphasized that the organization’s volunteers remain steadfast in Manipur, despite the ongoing unrest and challenging conditions. Speaking at an event commemorating the centenary of Shankar Dinkar Kane (Bhaiyyaji), Bhagwat lauded the dedication of RSS members stationed in the conflict-ridden northeastern state.

“Despite no guarantee of safety, our volunteers are firmly stationed in Manipur, serving both factions and striving to bring peace,” Bhagwat said. He highlighted that Sangh volunteers have neither fled nor remained idle, actively working to restore normalcy and reduce tensions between conflicting groups.

Bhagwat praised the groundwork laid by people like Kane, who contributed significantly to children’s education in Manipur until 1971. He credited the trust locals have in the RSS to these long-standing efforts, which continue to guide the organization’s work in the region.

While acknowledging the difficulties, Bhagwat stressed that such conflicts are temporary setbacks, orchestrated by those seeking to hinder India’s progress. “These plans will not succeed,” he asserted, reaffirming the Sangh’s commitment to uniting the nation.

Looking forward, Bhagwat stated that it would take two more generations to realize the vision of a prosperous and unified India. Despite the challenges ahead, he called for perseverance in overcoming obstacles posed by those who envy India’s rise.

The RSS chief’s remarks underscored the organization’s continued focus on national unity and social service, even in the most difficult circumstances.
