RSS Leader Sees Glimmers of Hope in Manipur’s Healing Journey
Imphal: Amidst persistent concerns surrounding the situation in Manipur, Sunil Ambekar, the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has expressed a cautiously optimistic outlook, indicating that the northeastern state is progressively moving towards normalcy.
Speaking to reporters, Ambekar underscored that while a distressed situation cannot be remedied instantaneously, there are discernible improvements when compared to the previous year. He stated, “When a situation deteriorates somewhere, it does not improve overnight. But in comparison to last year, normalcy has begun to return in Manipur. This is the beginning of peace. Dialogues are being held from both sides, and a constructive path is expected to emerge from this.”
These timely observations come as multifaceted efforts remain underway to bridge the deep-seated communal divides and restore comprehensive stability to the state, which was engulfed in intense ethnic violence last year. The RSS functionary further stressed the crucial significance of sustained dialogue and active community engagement as fundamental pillars for fostering enduring peace in the region.
