Sadhguru Meets Assam CM, Emphasizes Spiritual Consciousness in Governance

Guwahati: Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and senior state officials in Guwahati on February 9, underscoring the importance of spiritual consciousness in governance.

During an hour-long session, Sadhguru spoke about the role of inner well-being and personal transformation in enhancing the efficiency of state administration. He stressed that a spiritually conscious leadership fosters good governance, leading to better public service delivery.

The interactive session allowed senior officials to seek insights from the revered guru, who responded with depth and discernment, offering guidance on administrative challenges and personal growth.

Notably, this is not Sadhguru’s first engagement with Assam’s leadership. In September 2022, at the invitation of the state government, he participated in a three-day Chintan Shivir in Kaziranga—an initiative aimed at accelerating progress across sectors. At the time, Sadhguru had shared valuable insights on enhancing administrative efficiency, focusing on the personal and professional development of officials.

During his Kaziranga visit, Sadhguru, alongside CM Sarma, attended the ceremonial reopening of Kaziranga National Park for tourists. He also unveiled three rhino statues at Mihimukh, sculpted from the ashes of incinerated rhino horns seized from poachers, symbolizing Assam’s commitment to wildlife conservation.

The February 9 session in Guwahati was attended by Chief Secretary Ravi Kota, Director General of Police Harmeet Singh, and other senior officials.

Earlier in the day, Sadhguru also praised billionaire Gautam Adani for his Rs 10,000 crore donation for social causes, stating that utilizing wealth for the greater good is commendable.
