Safety Concerns Are Raised by Another Incident at the Maligaon Flyover Construction Site

Guwahati, 22nd August: Concerns have been expressed about the safety precautions taken for both workers and commuters during the Maligaon Flyover construction ahead of the inauguration.

Stones falling from atop the flyover damaged a school bus the day after two workers suffered severe injuries after being electrocuted while working on the construction site.

Reports claim that on Tuesday, stones from the still-under-construction Maligaon flyover hit the IIT Kendriya Vidyalaya school bus, causing damage.

Following this, one of the school’s teachers filed a complaint at Jalukbari Police Station.

It should be noted that the flyover will be inaugurated on August 30. Concerns concerning safety have been raised as a result of the workers’ accelerated building activities to meet the deadline.

Yesterday, an electrocution at the building site injured two workers. They received emergency care at Sanjeevani Hospital before being transferred to Nemcare Hospital for more sophisticated care.
