Saikhong Basumatary and Sajal Kumar Singha Sworn in as BTC Executive Members

In a formal ceremony held at the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Legislative Assembly building in Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar, Saikhong Basumatary and Sajal Kumar Singha were officially sworn in as executive members of the BTC.

Saikhong Basumatary, a Member of the Council Legislative Assembly (MCLA) representing Chirang from the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL), and Sajal Kumar Singha, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MCLA from Srirampur, took their oaths of office and secrecy. The ceremony was conducted by BTC Principal Secretary Akashdeep and was attended by an array of distinguished leaders.

Prominent figures in attendance included Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Chief Pramod Boro, BTC Speaker Katiram Boro, Deputy Speaker Abhiram Mohanayak, and Lok Sabha MP Joyanta Basumatary. Fellow BTC Executive Members Ranjit Basumatary and Dr. Nilut Swargiary were also present, along with other dignitaries who gathered to mark the occasion.

The induction of the two leaders reflects the continued commitment of the BTC to strengthening governance and addressing the needs of the people in the region. Their inclusion in the council is expected to bring renewed focus to the developmental priorities of their respective constituencies within the Bodoland Territorial Region.
