Sand Artist Congratulates PM-Designate Narendra Modi with Beach Sculpture in Puri
National Desk, 9th June: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik crafted a sand sculpture to congratulate PM-designate Narendra Modi at a seashore in Odisha’s Puri, ahead of his swearing-in ceremony scheduled for 7:15 PM today.
The intricate sand art, created at Puri beach, features a detailed image of Narendra Modi along with the message “ABHINANDAN MODI JI 3.0”. Accompanying this congratulatory note, Pattnaik also inscribed “VIKSIT BHARAT” below the artwork. The creation has garnered significant attention, reflecting the artist’s support and the public’s anticipation for Modi’s third term as Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, posters featuring PM-designate Narendra Modi have been put up in Delhi ahead of his swearing-in ceremony, marking the commencement of Modi’s third consecutive term as the Prime Minister of India. Under Modi’s leadership, the NDA is set to form the government at the Centre once again. This is an extraordinary event as Narendra Modi is the only leader after former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to be elected for a third consecutive term after completing the full tenure of each previous term.
Alongside Narendra Modi, members of his council of ministers will also take their oath on the same day. Around 1,100 Delhi traffic police personnel have been deployed, and an advisory has been issued to the public for traffic movement and route arrangements for the delegates as part of the preparations for Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi’s oath ceremony.
Several leaders and state heads from the neighborhood region and Indian Ocean region have been invited for PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony as distinguished guests, a testament to India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated, “President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe; President of Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu; Vice-President of Seychelles, Ahmed Afif; Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina; Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth; Prime Minister of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’; and Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, have accepted the invitation to attend.” Additionally, more than 250 workers involved in the construction of the Parliament will also attend the oath-taking ceremony.
Highlighting the significance of the event, the MEA emphasized, “The visit of the leaders to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term is in keeping with the highest priority accorded by India to its ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy and ‘SAGAR’ vision.” The leaders will also grace a banquet hosted by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan later in the evening.
Meanwhile, Congress leader KC Venugopal stated that the opposition leaders have not received any information from the government regarding the swearing-in ceremony of PM-designate Narendra Modi.
In the recent elections, the BJP secured 240 seats and the NDA secured 292 out of 543 Lok Sabha seats. The Congress, part of the INDIA bloc, managed to prevent the BJP from gaining a majority on its own in the Lok Sabha, securing 99 seats. The Samajwadi Party got 37 seats, Trinamool Congress 29, and DMK 22 seats.
