Sarbananda Sonowal Takes Charge of Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways
Guwahati, 11th June: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal assumed his new role at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways in New Delhi. Addressing the office bearers and staff, Sonowal expressed confidence in the team’s ability to meet their goals and objectives with a vision to serve the nation.
Sonowal emphasized the absolute commitment needed to transform India into a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) and urged his team to maintain their dedication to this cause. He praised the ongoing efforts under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting the significant progress made in empowering the maritime sector and promoting holistic development.
“Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways has been doing some stupendous work towards empowering the maritime sector and its holistic development in our endeavor to become an economic powerhouse. We will continue to commit ourselves to the cause of nation building with the intent of Nation First as we move ahead towards achieving the ultimate goal of Viksit Bharat. Our ministry will continue to work towards empowering the maritime sector towards holistic development as envisioned in the Amrit Kaal Vision, 2047,” Sonowal stated.
