SCERT Nagaland Directs Private Schools to Order Textbooks Through Centralized System for 2025 Academic Year

Kohima: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Nagaland has issued a directive to all private schools in the state regarding the procurement of textbooks for the upcoming 2025 academic session.

In line with a government notification from April 24, 2018, the department will manage the distribution of the Nagaland Heritage Studies Series, which includes textbooks for Mother Tongue (Classes 1-8) and Alternative English (Classes 5-8).

Private schools wishing to use these textbooks are required to submit their orders through SCERT, rather than placing direct orders with the publisher. The deadline for submitting order requests to SCERT is November 30, 2024.

This initiative aims to streamline the textbook procurement process, ensuring uniformity in educational materials and enhancing the quality of heritage and language-based education across private schools in Nagaland.
