Schools and Colleges in Nagaland to Reopen
Guwahati: The Government of Nagaland has allowed reopening secondary schools and colleges from July 26. The decision to open the schools and colleges was taken as a part of the third phase of Unlock.
Government spokesperson Niba Kronu said the unlocking will start on July 18 and continue till August 1.
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio conducted a meeting with the High powered Committee and announced the decision. In this phase of unlocking, the state government said higher-secondary and colleges will be allowed to start physical classes from July 26.
He further added that all the teaching and non-teaching staff should be given at least the first dose or has to provide a COVID-negative report. However, approval should be taken from District Task Forces for any schools and colleges to reopen.
Although schools and colleges will be allowed to open, the physical classes for the students of standard 10 and below will remain suspended.
