“Scrapping Article 370 was a black decision” Mehbooba Mufti tweets after release

Soon after being released from detention for almost a year Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti posted a voice note from her twitter account where she called the scrapping of Article 370 as un- constitutional.

She also termed the Central Government decision to scrap Article 370 as a “black decision on a black day”. Mehbooba Mufti through twitter said “I am released after more than a year. During my time in detention, the black decision of the black day in August 2019 continued to attack my heart,“I feel this must have been the condition of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. None of us can forget the insult of that day. Now we will have to decide that whatever the Delhi Durbar took away from us through illegal means on August 5 last year, we will have to get it back,” she further said in the clip.

Mehbooba Mufti was put under detention back in 5 August last year along with another political leader of Kashmir Farooq Abdullah following the abrogation of the Article 370 which gives special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Both Abdullah and Mufti were kept under detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
