Guwahati: Section 144 has been imposed close to the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) office in Guwahati by the Office of the Commissioner of Police.
This decision was made in light of the examinations being given for positions with the State Level Recruitment Commission.
“…in excise of powers conferred upon me under section 144 Cr.P.C. 1973 read with Govt. of Assam Notification No. HMA.735/2098/Pt-I/243, dated 24.12.2014, I, Hemanta Kumar Das, APS, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Administration), Police Commissionerate, Guwahati do hereby promulgate this notification under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting within the radius of 10 metres of SEBA complex, Bamunimaidan, Guwahati without prior permission from competent authority till the receiving/depositing and scrutinizing process is over…” read the official order.
