Sec 144 Imposed In Assam’s Golaghat
Guwahati: The Golaghat district administration in Assam imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) with immediate effect on Sunday.
The Additional District Magistrate of Golaghat Kuldeep Hazarika issued the directive for the rigorous measures to be implemented.
The decree states that it is unlawful for car owners to leave their vehicles parked on the national highway outside of approved parking spaces.
Additionally, parking on other Public Works Department (PWD) roadways in the district will no longer be permitted.
Additionally, the Addl District Magistrate’s instructions forbade the use of freight-carrying dumpers between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
It is also forbidden for freight-carrying vehicles to carry loads that exceed their permitted weight limits.
The directive further stated that the decision was made to reduce the number of road accidents that are occurring more frequently in the area. It further stated that the orders would take effect right away.
Those discovered breaking the orders will be reported to the district administration and they will be dealt with in line with the law.
