Preventative measures encompass regular software updates, robust password policies, employee training on cybersecurity, and reinforced network security through firewalls and encryption technologies. Additionally, the enactment and enforcement of laws governing sensitive data handling can enhance accountability and encourage the reporting of suspected breaches.
