Security Forces Intensify Efforts to Ensure Peace and Stability in Manipur
Imphal: In a proactive effort to maintain peace and security across Manipur, security forces conducted extensive search operations and area domination exercises in vulnerable and fringe areas of the hill and valley districts.
These operations led to the recovery of critical arms from Maukot village in Churachandpur District, including a .303 rifle with an empty magazine and a 9mm country-made pistol, also with an empty magazine.
To ensure the smooth movement of essential goods, security forces facilitated the transit of 177 vehicles along NH-37 and 241 vehicles on NH-2. Strict security measures, such as increased vigilance at vulnerable locations and the deployment of security convoys along sensitive stretches, were implemented to safeguard the vehicles and their occupants.
In addition to these measures, authorities have established 108 Nakas and checkpoints across various districts in both the hill and valley regions. These checkpoints aim to enhance security and prevent unlawful activities. The police reported that no individuals were detained during these operations in connection with any violations.
These efforts underscore the authorities’ unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety of residents, and facilitating uninterrupted access to essential supplies in the region.
