Security Forces Intensify Operations in Manipur, Ensuring Safe Passage and Crackdown on Violations
Northeast Desk, 24th June: In response to ongoing security concerns, forces in Manipur have escalated search operations and area control in both hill and valley districts, focusing on fringe and vulnerable regions.
A major coordinated effort ensured the movement of 264 vehicles along NH-37 and 286 vehicles along NH-2, all carrying essential items. To secure these critical routes, stringent security measures were implemented at vulnerable points, with security convoys provided on sensitive stretches to guarantee the safe and uninterrupted movement of vehicles.
In addition, a network of 126 Nakas (checkpoints) has been established across various districts in Manipur. These checkpoints, strategically positioned in both hill and valley areas, aim to monitor and control unlawful activities, bolstering the region’s overall security.
As part of these intensified security operations, police recently detained 108 individuals for violations across different districts, reflecting a robust crackdown on unlawful activities and reinforcing the commitment to maintaining order and safety in the state.
