Security Forces Neutralize Three NSCN (KYA) Militants, Rescue Abducted Worker in Arunachal Pradesh

Itanagar: A swift and coordinated security operation in Longding district, Arunachal Pradesh, led to the successful rescue of an abducted construction worker and the neutralization of three NSCN (KYA) militants.

The operation was launched after two construction workers were abducted late on April 25 from the Pongchau area, triggering immediate action by the Indian Army and Assam Rifles.

Based on precise intelligence, security personnel initiated a focused search and rescue mission in the Pangchau region on April 27. During the course of the operation, troops encountered armed militants, leading to a firefight in which three insurgents were eliminated.

The successful engagement prevented further escalation and ensured the recovery of four automatic weapons, a large quantity of ammunition, and other war-like stores from the encounter site.

One of the abducted workers was rescued during the operation, bringing a measure of relief to the local community. However, security forces continue to intensify efforts to trace and safely recover the second kidnapped individual. The operation underscores the heightened security vigilance in Arunachal Pradesh amid persistent threats from insurgent groups operating in the region.
