Northeast Desk, 12th July: Security forces carried out extensive search operations and area domination exercises in the fringe and vulnerable areas of Manipur’s hill and valley districts, leading to significant recoveries aimed at enhancing regional security.
On July 10, 2024, during these operations in Salam Patong, Thoubal District, the security forces recovered several items, including:
- Two HE hand grenades without detonators
- One modified cell (pompi bomb)
- One 38 mm cartridge marked as a rubber bullet
- One tear smoke cell soft nose
These operations are part of ongoing efforts to curb insurgent activities and ensure the safety and security of residents in Manipur. The recovered items highlight the potential threats posed by insurgent groups and underscore the importance of continued vigilance by security forces in the region.
