Aizawl: A significant joint operation conducted by Assam Rifles personnel and Mizoram Police in Champhai district has led to the seizure of a substantial cache of explosives and the apprehension of two suspects. The operation, which took place in the Vokte Kai area of Zokhawtar, resulted in the recovery of 3,000 electric detonators, 700 metres of cordtex, and additional war-like materials.
The seizure highlights ongoing security concerns in the region, which borders Myanmar. Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the arrested individuals or their potential connections to any organisations. This operation marks one of the larger explosives seizures in the region this year, underscoring the importance of continued vigilance and cooperation between security forces.
