Sela Pass Road Open for Tourists Amidst Heavy Snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh
Itanagar: Amid the bustling tourist season in Arunachal Pradesh, Sela Pass and Tawang continue to attract a significant number of visitors each year. The route to Tawang remains a key attraction, even with the heavy snowfall that has blanketed the region.
While the Sela Pass road is currently open for tourists and vehicles, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has mandated the use of snow chains for all vehicles. This directive aims to ensure safe travel for all motorists navigating the snowy terrain on their way to Tawang.
According to BRO authorities, the Sela Pass road remains accessible to vehicles equipped with snow chains. Despite the challenging conditions, ongoing efforts are underway to clear the route and minimize disruptions for travelers.
The tunnel route through Sela Pass is fully operational; however, snow chains are still mandatory to guarantee safe passage. Authorities have strongly urged commuters to exercise extreme caution while driving in these conditions, emphasizing the importance of safety measures during the winter months.
Travelers planning to visit the area are advised to strictly adhere to these guidelines for their own safety.
