Sericulture College in Titabor Approved By Assam Cabinet
Guwahati: The construction of a sericulture college in the Jorhat district has been approved by the Assam Cabinet on Wednesday.
The cabinet meeting for the first time in the history of the state was held outside the state in New Delhi.
While addressing a press conference after the meeting, Tourism Minister Jayantamalla Baruah said that the cabinet had authorised Sericulture College in Titabor.
The cabinet also authorised allocating Rs 50 crores to the tourism department for the establishment of Jongal Balahu Heritage.
Additionally, 500 crores of rupees were approved for 2,000 more Anganwadi centres.
332 crores and 39 lakhs rupees were granted for the construction of Gauripur Junction in North Guwahati.
There will be new regulations for corporate afforestation.
