
Seven Tripura Police Officers Honored with Prestigious President’s Medals on Republic Day
Agartala: Seven personnel from Tripura Police have been recognized with President’s Medals for their outstanding service on the occasion of Republic Day, 2025.
These honors, awarded to 942 personnel nationwide across Police, Fire, Home Guard & Civil Defence, and Correctional Services departments, celebrate exceptional dedication and performance in service.
The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM), given for an exemplary service record, was awarded to Goduguluri Srinivasa Rao, Additional Director General of Tripura Police.
His contribution underscores the spirit of excellence in leadership and commitment to duty.
Additionally, six Tripura Police officers received the Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM), which acknowledges resourcefulness and devotion to duty.
The awardees include Bijoy Debbarma (Superintendent of Police), Manik Das (Superintendent of Police), Panna Lal Sen (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Ajoy Debbarma (Deputy Superintendent of Police), Shyamal Debbarma (Deputy Superintendent of Police), and Niranjan Debbarma (Subedar).
Nationwide, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service was conferred on 101 individuals, including 85 from Police Service, while 746 officers received the Medal for Meritorious Service, with 634 from Police Service.
