Guwahati, 5th August: A sex racket in Bilasipara, located in Assam’s Dhubri district, was exposed by vigilant locals on Friday night.
The incident took place in Krishna Nagar, where members of the New Generation Club conducted an operation and discovered two women and one man, identified as Abdul Malek, in a prostitution den. Promptly, Abdul Malek was handed over to the police.
Investigations have revealed that the prostitution racket had been running for a prolonged period at a residence owned by an individual named Sahar Ali in Krishna Nagar. Allegations have been raised that the anti-social activity persisted due to the perceived inactive role of the police in the area.
