‘Shaurya Yatra’ Motorcycle Rally Reaches Guwahati, En Route to West Bengal
Guwahati: A 3,900-km-long motorcycle rally undertaken by the Indian Armed Forces has reached Guwahati as part of its cross-country journey, continuing its route towards West Bengal.
The ‘Shaurya Yatra’ rally, which commenced on March 10 from Vijaynagar in Arunachal Pradesh, is scheduled to conclude at the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat on March 23.
Upon arriving in Guwahati, rally participants engaged with ex-servicemen, who shared their personal stories and sacrifices made in service to the nation. The veterans were honored by the riders, as per an Assam Rifles spokesperson.
The rally was officially flagged off at Rangapahar military station in Dimapur, Nagaland, by Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding of 3 Corps. A total of 12 riders, consisting of members from the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and locals from Arunachal Pradesh, are partaking in this journey.
As the rally heads towards Siliguri, it continues to spread its message of unity, courage, and national pride. The event, under the theme ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,’ seeks to inspire youth to join the armed forces while promoting national integration.
Throughout the route, participants will also engage with schoolchildren to encourage them to consider a career in the military, further strengthening the rally’s mission of fostering patriotism and pride.
