Guwahati: The Supreme Court has granted bail to Indrani Mukherjea, who is accused of killing her daughter Sheena Bora. Mukherjea has been incarcerated since 2015.
The Supreme Court declared today that 6.5 year is too lengthy.

“She is entitled to bail because she has previously served a significant amount of time in prison. She is eligible for conditional bail. We are not expressing any views on the merits of the case that could influence the outcome of the trial “According to the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court noted that the trial would not be finished soon and that the statements of half of the witnesses had not yet been recorded. The judges also mentioned that it was a question of inference.
