Shillong Hosts Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2025, Welcomes Mizoram Delegation
Shillong: The Inter-State Youth Exchange Programme 2025 is currently underway in Shillong, bringing together 27 young participants from Mizoram for a five-day cultural and leadership engagement.
The initiative, organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, aims to foster national integration and cross-cultural learning among youth from different states.
The programme commenced on February 17 with a welcoming ceremony attended by key dignitaries. D Rapsang, Deputy Director of NYK Shillong, emphasized the importance of such exchanges in celebrating India’s diversity and enhancing mutual understanding. DD Shira, Director of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, who graced the event as the chief guest, encouraged participants to apply their experiences towards community development and leadership roles.
Participants will engage in a series of interactive sessions with eminent personalities, cultural performances, language learning modules, and visits to historical sites, offering them a comprehensive cultural immersion. The programme, which runs until February 20, is expected to strengthen inter-state bonds and provide young leaders with a platform to share ideas and traditions.
