Guwahati: One person has been arrested by the Laitumkrah Police in connection with the August 10 Laitumkrah market blast case by the Meghalaya Police.
The person arrested has been suspected to be directly involved with the Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC). The HNLC right after the explosion had accepted the responsibility for the incident.
As per reports, during the explosion, at least two persons have been injured severely. The explosion occurred near a tea shop in the market’s parking area.
Apart from the two persons being injured, there are no further reports of any casualties or any other major property loss.
