Shillong: In a significant late-night development in the ongoing Raja Raghuvanshi murder investigation, a specialised team from the Shillong Police, Meghalaya, executed a swift operation in Indore. The police successfully seized a crucial CCTV DVR system from the residence of Shilom James, a prominent local property dealer.

Sources close to the investigation confirmed that Shilom James was present during the seizure and extended his full cooperation to the Meghalaya police contingent. James had previously been apprehended on June 21, facing allegations of having rented a flat to Sonam, identified as the primary accused in the sensational murder case and currently under rigorous police scrutiny.

The retrieved CCTV footage is anticipated to be a pivotal piece of evidence, instrumental in meticulously reconstructing the timeline of events and tracking the movements of all individuals implicated in the heinous crime. While the Meghalaya police have maintained a strict silence regarding the precise contents of the DVR, they have officially confirmed that the seized material has been dispatched for comprehensive forensic analysis.
