Guwahati: Bengaluru Police have arrested Siddhanth Kapoor, the brother of Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor for reportedly ingesting drugs at a party in the city on Sunday night.
This has been informed by Bengaluru’s Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), Bheemashankar S Guled, on Monday, reported ANI.
Police stormed a hotel on MG Road in Bengaluru after receiving a tip that a party was taking place on Sunday night.
Police obtained samples from those suspected of using drugs and submitted them to a lab for testing. Six other samples were positive for consumption, including Siddhanth’s.
Police said, “Cops have detained Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor’s brother. His samples have all tested positive for narcotics so far. He is one of six people who has taken drugs.”
According to police, it was unclear if they had ingested narcotics at the hotel or had arrived at the party after using drugs elsewhere.
The son of veteran bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor, Siddhanth is in police custody at the moment.
It needs to be mentioned that Shraddha Kapoor was one of the people questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for alleged drug use.
