Guwahati, 19 May: The much-awaited Junmoni Rabha’s post-mortem reports are complete and they have revealed shocking details about the incident that claimed her life in the early hours of May 16.
The results of the post-mortem reports revealed that Junmoni Rabha had suffered injuries in the back of her head. According to reports, there are chances that this was a premeditated act and the post-mortem report suggests that the murder may have been committed by someone with calm and a cool mind.
The post-mortem of the body of Junmoni Rabha was done at the Bhogeswari Phukanani Civil Hospital in Assam’s Nagaon. According to the medical examiner’s findings, the body arrived in a state of rigour mortis or rigid joints which often happens a few hours after death.
Junmoni Rabha’s body had several abrasions on the knees, legs, elbows and hands, according to the medical examiner. Over her left forehead there was a laceration mark or a deep cut. Additionally, there were laceration injuries over the occipital area that is in the back of the head with an underlying bone fracture.
The medical examiner also observed in her report that there was a crimson bruise over the right upper abdomen and right lower chest.
Lastly, the comments from the expert were, “In our opinion, the cause of death is due to haemorrhage and shock with cardio respiratory failure following head and brain injury with intra abdominal injuries and hematoma of brain.”
The medical assessment has underlined the possibility that the entire incident may have been a premeditated murder because Junmoni Rabha’s injuries are mostly inconsistent with the incident that is believed to have killed her namely a collision of her car with an approaching truck.
Unverified claims have also been made that, in an effort to defend a false gold syndicate, a segment of the police force’s activities after her death indicate a desire to delete case-related evidence.
In a shocking revelation by Anil Bhuyan, who claimed to be a driver of the Nagaon police said during a phone call with a journalist that there was a conspiracy to kill Junmoni Rabha and frame the incident reported as a suicide. Additionally, he asserted throughout the phone call that she had been sexually abused before her murder and that she was assaulted with iron rods that led to her death.
