Sidhu Moose Wala Killing: SC Seeks Details Of FIRs Against Lawrence Bishnoi

Guwahati: The Supreme Court on Thursday demanded information about the quantity of FIRs filed against Lawrence Bishnoi, the primary suspect in the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala.

The hearing’s organisers, Ajay Rastogi and BV Nagarathna, asked the Punjab police to create a chart showing the total number of FIRs filed against Bishnoi.

The case has been postponed by the supreme court until a subsequent hearing on September 13.

The SC also inquired as to which FIR he had been detained under since June 13 and what police had planned for the gangster going forward.

He (Bishnoi) is supposed to suffer the punishment if he has done something illegal, but not in such a way, the court declares during the hearing.

The father of Lawrence Bishnoi was arguing in court against his son’s transit detention to Punjab police.

It should be remembered that the Supreme Court already rejected Jagjit Singh’s request to have the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) take over the investigation into the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala.

It should be noted that in June, the Delhi Patiala House Court heard a case involving the murder of Punjabi rapper and singer Sidhu Moose Wala, who later became a politician. The court authorised the arrest of mobster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the case.

The court also approved the Punjab Police’s request for permission to transport the accused, Lawrence Bishnoi, and ordered the police to ensure that Bishnoi receives a legal medical examination before departing Delhi and before appearing before the appropriate court in CJM, Mansa, Punjab.
