Sikkim: 2 killed and 4 injured in road accident in Rani Khola
Northeast Desk, 18th May: On the morning of May 18, a tragic accident occurred along the NH 10 stretch of Sangkhola, near Singtam, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The vehicle, a taxi transporting tourists from Siliguri to Gangtok, plunged into the Rani Khola river.
Among the deceased were the driver of the vehicle and a 72-year-old passenger from West Bengal. The bodies were recovered from the river. The deceased passenger has been identified as Rabindranath Paul from Kolkata, while the identity of the driver remains unknown.
Other passengers, all residents of Kolkata, were rescued with injuries and taken to Singtam hospital for treatment, according to police reports.
