Sikkim: 21 Leader Quits SDF & Most Likely to Join Ruling SKM
Guwahati: The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) in the Himalayan state has suffered a serious blow as at least 21 senior officials have resigned.
A former Sikkim Lawmaker named Chandra M. Subba was one of those who left SDF.
Twenty more Yangthang constituency leaders from the SDF including Subba also quit the group in addition to them.
Subba and the other 20 party officials gave their resignation letters to Pawan Chamling, the SDF’s leader and a former chief minister of Sikkim.
Subba stated in her resignation letter that she was quitting the SDF due to personal reasons, speaking over the same.
After leaving the SDF, the former legislator and 20 other elected officials met Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang in Gangtok.
After the conference, rumours that the leaders would join the SKM are rampant.
