Northeast Desk, 29th August: Sikkim BJP leader Tseten Tashi took to Facebook on Thursday to spotlight Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest directive to his Cabinet, encapsulated in the four-point mantra: “Perform, Reform, Transform, Inform.” Tashi emphasized the importance of this mantra as a cornerstone for the government’s current and future policies, stressing its role in driving progress and transparency across the nation.

In his post, Tashi underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to Sikkim’s special constitutional protections under Article 371F, affirming, “Article 371F – Your Protection, Our Guarantee! – Modi ji.” This assurance from the Prime Minister comes as part of a broader effort to reassure Sikkimese citizens of their unique rights within the Indian Union.

The Prime Minister’s directive was delivered during a comprehensive 40-minute meeting at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan, where he reviewed his government’s performance with his ministerial colleagues and set forth his expectations for the coming months. As part of the government’s strategy approaching 100 days in office, Modi tasked his ministers with showcasing ten significant decisions from their respective ministries. Additionally, he announced a celebratory event on September 5 to mark the decade-long success of various welfare schemes initiated under his leadership.

During the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba presented an overview of 73 critical decisions made in the first 85 days of Modi’s third term, with a special focus on advancements in health, education, and infrastructure.
