Sikkim CM and Cabinet Ministers Participate in Fun Run to Inaugurate Multi-Level Parking Complex
Northeast Desk, 18th February: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, accompanied by his cabinet ministers, enthusiastically participated in a 2 km fun run organized by Gangtok Smart City Development Ltd. on February 18. The event, titled ‘West Point Sarthi’ run, served as the inauguration ceremony for a highly anticipated multi-level parking complex in Gangtok.
Approximately 1,800 participants, including renowned model Milind Soman, joined the 10 km run, representing diverse regions across the country.
Addressing the crowd at the inauguration of the multi-level parking complex, Chief Minister Tamang expressed his excitement about participating in the Sikkim Sarathi run and commended the significant turnout across various age groups. He extended congratulations to all participants and winners, acknowledging their dedication to promoting a healthier community.
Kumar Manish, Vice President of Mesaso Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, emphasized the crucial role of the multi-level parking complex in addressing Gangtok’s longstanding parking challenges. Developed under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model between West Point and Gangtok Smart City Development Ltd., the complex has a capacity to accommodate 400 vehicles, offering a sustainable solution to the city’s parking issues.
