Sikkim CM Inaugurates Modern SDM Office in Dentam to Strengthen Local Governance

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to effective governance during the inauguration of a newly constructed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office building at Dentam in Gyalshing district on January 16. The state-of-the-art facility, designed to enhance administrative efficiency, marks a significant step in bringing governance closer to the people of West Sikkim.

Addressing the gathering at the event, Chief Minister Tamang emphasized the symbolic and practical importance of the new building. “This building is not merely a structure but a beacon of our dedication to bringing governance closer to the people,” he stated. The facility is expected to serve as a central hub for resolving local grievances and addressing the needs of the community, thereby strengthening the connection between the administration and the residents it serves.
