Sikkim CM Lauds Cultural Preservation at Tamang Boudha Sangh Convention

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang recently attended the 37th All India Annual Convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Tamang Boudha Sangh, held in the picturesque Dalgoan region of Kalimpong district.

The event celebrated nearly four decades of dedicated efforts toward preserving and promoting Tamang culture and traditions.

Expressing his admiration for the Sangha’s enduring legacy, the Chief Minister said, “It was an absolute honor and privilege to attend this prestigious gathering.” He extended his congratulations to the organization and applauded its members for their steadfast commitment to upholding the Tamang community’s heritage.

During his address, Mr. Tamang paid homage to the founding members and former executives of the Sangha, acknowledging their visionary contributions that have sustained the association’s relevance and impact over the years. “Their dedication and service continue to inspire us,” he remarked.

The Chief Minister also underscored the importance of preserving cultural roots and passing them on to future generations. “It is our shared responsibility to ensure that our rich traditions are carried forward with pride and confidence,” he said, encouraging attendees to remain deeply connected to their heritage.

The convention saw enthusiastic participation from members across the region, reflecting the unity and vibrancy of the Tamang community.
