Sikkim CM Pays Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on His 6th Punya Tithi at Prarthana Sabha

Northeast Desk, 16th August: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang expressed his deep honor at participating in the Prarthana Sabha held in memory of Bharat Ratna, the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on his 6th Punya Tithi. The solemn event took place at Sadaiv Atal, Rajghat, and was attended by a host of prominent dignitaries.

Among the attendees were the President of India, Droupadi Murmu; Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar; Prime Minister Narendra Modi; Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla; and Deputy Speaker of the Rajya Sabha, Harivansh Narayan Singh. Several Union Ministers and other distinguished guests also graced the occasion.

Chief Minister Tamang spoke warmly of Vajpayee’s exceptional contributions to the nation, underscoring his visionary leadership and enduring legacy. “Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji was a statesman of exceptional integrity and compassion,” Tamang remarked. “His leadership and strategic foresight have left an indelible mark on our nation, shaping the course of India’s politics and economy.”
