Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Addresses Medical Needs of Patients in Delhi, Meets New Governor
Northeast Desk, 29th July — In a bid to support Sikkimese patients undergoing medical treatment outside their home state, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang visited the Old Sikkim House in New Delhi. During his visit, he interacted with patients, including Grade C and D government employees, offering medical assistance and assurances of further support from the state government.
Tamang expressed his hopes for the patients’ swift recovery and reassured them of the state’s ongoing commitment to their well-being. His engagement underscores the government’s focus on ensuring that Sikkimese citizens receive adequate care and support while away from home.
On July 28, Tamang also paid a courtesy visit to Om Prakash Mathur, the newly appointed Governor of Sikkim, at his residence in New Delhi. During the meeting, they discussed various topics, including tourism and agriculture. Tamang congratulated Mathur and extended best wishes on behalf of the people and government of Sikkim.
Tamang shared his sentiments on Facebook, welcoming Mathur with warm regards and expressing his anticipation for collaborative efforts to advance Sikkim’s interests. The Governor pledged his support and commitment to guiding and assisting Sikkim in various developmental areas.
