Sikkim CM Prem Singh Tamang Concludes Janta Bhet Karyakram in Rhenock

Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang successfully wrapped up the three-day Janta Bhet Karyakram at Gaushala, Amba, marking a significant step in strengthening governance through direct community engagement.

The initiative, aimed at fostering government-public interaction, received an overwhelming response from citizens across the Rhenock Constituency.

The outreach program began on February 23 at Padamchey Secondary School, where CM Tamang met with nearly 1,100 residents from various parts of the constituency. On the second day, the event moved to the Forest Bungalow in Rhenock, continuing its mission of providing a platform for people to voice their concerns and seek solutions directly from the government.

Residents from Budang Kamarey GPU, East Pendam GPU, and the wards of East Dikling, Loosing, and Bengthang under Chalamthang Pacheykhani GPU actively participated in discussions. Addressing the gatherings, the Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to addressing public grievances efficiently and ensuring seamless service delivery.

The Janta Bhet Karyakram has become an essential platform for citizens to raise issues related to infrastructure, water supply, healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Government officials and department representatives were present at the event to provide information on various welfare schemes and ensure that citizens received accurate guidance on availing government benefits.

Emphasizing transparency and inclusivity in governance, CM Tamang assured that the concerns raised during the program would be taken into account for future policymaking. He also announced that the initiative would continue across different parts of Rhenock Constituency, enabling more residents to engage with the government and contribute to the development dialogue.

The outreach drive was widely appreciated, with many attendees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to directly interact with the Chief Minister and voice their concerns, hoping for tangible improvements in their communities.
