Sikkim CM Tamang Pays Tribute to Constitution’s Framers on Constitution Day
Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang extended warm greetings to the people of Sikkim and the nation on the auspicious occasion of Constitution Day, celebrated annually on November 26.
In his message, the Chief Minister acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Constitution’s framers, emphasizing their visionary foresight in shaping India’s democratic framework.
CM Tamang urged citizens to honor the tireless efforts of the Constituent Assembly members, whose collective wisdom laid the foundation for India’s democratic ethos. He paid a special tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, whose intellectual brilliance and leadership were instrumental in its creation.
“As we celebrate Constitution Day, let us also remember the sacrifices of countless patriots and martyrs who fought for India’s independence. Their unwavering spirit paved the way for a sovereign, democratic India,” the Chief Minister stated.
Highlighting the core values enshrined in the Constitution – justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity – CM Tamang called upon citizens to reaffirm their commitment to these ideals. He emphasized the need to build an inclusive, harmonious, and progressive society that upholds the rights and opportunities of every individual.
