Sikkim: Construction Worker Buried in Collapse at Geyzing, Rescue Operation Underway

Northeast Desk, 24th June: In a harrowing incident near the Industrial Training Institute at 8th Mile, Geyzing, a construction worker, Birendra Pandey, was trapped under debris when a section of an under-construction site collapsed. Pandey, a resident of 8th Mile, Geyzing, was working at the site when the rear side caved in, burying him under rubble.

Upon receiving the distress call, local residents and police personnel swiftly initiated rescue efforts to extricate Pandey from the debris. The rescue operation is currently underway, with authorities working urgently to recover the trapped worker and ensure the safety of others in the vicinity.
