Sikkim: Eight Additional Postal Ballots Received in Pakyong; Sorted and Sealed

Northeast Desk, 28th May: Eight additional postal ballots from service voters were received by the Pakyong Post Office on May 28. These ballots were handed over to Anupa Tamling, ADC Pakyong, by a Pakyong Post Office official, in the presence of election agents from various political parties.

Following the Election Commission of India (ECI) regulations, the ballots were meticulously sorted according to their respective Assembly Constituencies (AC) and dates of receipt. Sandesh Subba, SDM Pakyong, ensured the sorted ballots were securely stored and sealed in the strong room at DAC Pakyong. The entire process was videographed to maintain transparency.

To date, a total of 343 service postal ballots have been received for the five Assembly Constituencies under the district.
