Sikkim: Ex-minister and MLA MK Sharma likely to resign from SKM, join SDF soon: Sources

Northeast Desk, 3rd November: Former Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) Minister MK Sharma is reportedly to join the opposition Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party soon.

Insider talks are ongoing, and it’s believed there’s 90 percent likelihood that he will join the SDF, although the exact timing of his joining remains uncertain.

This potential move comes after HSP President Dr. Bina Sharma recently joined the SDF, with Bhaichung Bhutia attending the joining event as a special guest.

Bhaichung Bhutia is also expected to join the SDF, and various activists are likely to follow suit in the coming days.

MK Sharma served as a Minister until earlier this year but resigned during an immigration-related controversy. If he joins the SDF, it’s expected that he will resign as an MLA from his current party.
