Sikkim Finance and Accounts Service Association Holds General Body Meeting, Inducts New Members, and Constitutes a New Executive Committee

Northeast Desk, 13th August: The Sikkim Finance and Accounts Service Association recently held its general body meeting, where significant changes were made to its leadership structure. The event, marked by the dissolution of the old executive committee, saw the induction of fifty-six new members into the association, signaling a phase of growth and renewal.

Pamin Lepcha, Advisor to the Social Justice and Welfare Department and Women and Child Welfare Department, attended the meeting as the chief guest. V. B. Pathak, the Chief Secretary, was present as the guest of honour, lending further significance to the gathering.

The association took the opportunity to bid farewell to forty retiring members, honoring their invaluable contributions to the service. These retirees were recognized for their years of dedication and were celebrated for their commitment to upholding the association’s standards.

A notable moment of the meeting was the dissolution of the old executive committee, which had been under the leadership of former President Binod Sharma, Director (Accounts). The process was overseen by the One-Man Election Committee, headed by Rajendra Sharma, Principal Director (Accounts).

In place of the dissolved committee, a new Executive Committee was constituted, with Tsetan Dorjee Bhutia, Principal Director (Accounts), assuming the role of the newly elected President. The general body also approved the expansion of the executive team, adding three new members to enhance its leadership capacity.

The newly formed executive committee extended its congratulations to the Chief Minister, acknowledging the public’s renewed mandate following the recent general elections. The association reaffirmed its dedication to working in alignment with the Chief Minister’s vision for the state.

The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge from the new executive body to work diligently towards the association’s goals, aiming to enhance the welfare of its members and contribute to the state’s financial management excellence.
