Sikkim: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Embarks on Three-Day Visit

Northeast Desk, 5th January: Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to kick off a three-day visit to Sikkim, commencing tomorrow. The visit will encompass key engagements, including her participation in a credit outreach program at Manan Kendra, Gangtok. Additionally, Sitharaman is slated to explore the border village of Kupup in East Sikkim, underlining the significance of inclusive financial initiatives in the region.

A highlight of the itinerary includes the Finance Minister’s involvement in a credit outreach program facilitated by NABARD, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fostering financial inclusion. Sitharaman is expected to depart for New Delhi on January 8, marking the conclusion of her comprehensive three-day visit to Sikkim.
