Sikkim: Fire Erupts at Basement of Iconic Tashi Delek Hotel in Gangtok
Gangtok: A fire broke out at the basement area of the building housing the iconic Tashi Delek Hotel in Gangtok on the evening of January 24th.
The hotel is situated in the New Market area of Sikkim’s capital city.
Upon receiving the alert, emergency services immediately responded and successfully extinguished the fire.
Due to the prompt action, major damage was averted, and no casualties were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Earlier, on the morning of January 23rd, a significant fire erupted near Ganday Jhora in Sichey, Sikkim, around 4 am.
The flames spread rapidly, prompting a swift response from emergency services. Firefighters arrived at the scene and, after a challenging operation, managed to contain the blaze.
